Krishna Pratap Singh, IRS, 1991 Batch and took Premature Voluntary Retirement as Commissioner Customs, Central Excise and Service Tax, is a qualified lawyer and specializes in Indirect Taxes, in particular Customs, Central Excise, Service Tax, Narcotics, including Money Laundering, Economic Offences, GST, and SCOMET matters. He has an experience of over 25 years in the field of Indirect Tax including over 23 years of experience with the Indian Customs, Central Excise, Service Tax Department as class 1 officer, where he held several important positions. These include Assessment, Audit, Investigations, Enforcement, Vigilance & Anti-Corruption, Search and Seizures. He also represented Revenue Department before CESTAT for 5 years and remained with the Supreme Court for around 2 years handling Enforcement Directorate, FERA and COFEPOSA Matters. He has also extensive experience in handling Commercial /Tax crimes, DGFT, Gems & Jewellery, EOU and SEZ matters during the course of his employment with the Ministry of Finance. He has been associated with PHDCCI, ASSOCHAM, CII, FICCI, DPMC, ILI, GJEPC, IBJA as both, a speaker and contributor. He has been regular in Academia and Corporate Circle while advising on AML/CFT Measures, Corporate Criminal & Tax Investigations (DRI, DGGSTI, SIIB, CIU), GST. He has been a partner with AZB & Partners for over 2 years. He is also currently handling some high profile DRI, DGGSTI, ED Investigations as Managing Partner at Asav Attorneys & Advisors LLP.
Priyojeet Chatterjee, Graduate of 2016 from the ICFAI University, currently engaged as a Senior Associate with ASAV Attorneys and Advisors LLP. He has varied experience in the Indirect taxation domain particularly in Litigation, Advisory and Consultancy. He has previously worked with EY (Ernst & Young) LLP, Hiregange & Associates and YSR & Associate, Advocates and Tax Consultants and was based in Hyderabad. He regularly appears before CESTAT (Customs, Excise and Service Tax Appellate) Tribunal and before adjudicating authorities.
